This is a software tool that lets AutoCAD drawing files to be converted into PDF files.
AutoCAD to PDF Converter is a batch converter of AutoCAD DWG/DXF to PDF without the need of AutoCAD. In any engineering project there is often a need for communicating, with drawings, with people who do not own an AutoCAD or compatible software. They may not need the capability to modify these drawings. All they need is the capability to annotate and mark up these drawings at the most. A PDF document serves that purpose very well. A tool that can convert the AutoCAD native drawing formats, the DWG and the DXF into PDFs should be a nice help. Even with people owning AutoCAD, tying up a copy of AutoCAD for just creating drawings in PDF format or to use expensive Acrobat software may not make much economic sense. Either way then, software that can addresses this conversion without needing anything else would be a big help.
This tool works in a batch mode. It will let you create a list of the drawings that you want to convert and run the program one time. The interface, including this creation of the input batch is simple. Even a beginner should be able to get up to speed very quickly. For the more experienced users, there is a command line interface available in the Pro version of the software. The tool will handle all the versions of AutoCAD drawings released so far, right from the R2 version to the 2010 version. On the PDF side, you can set bookmarks, set the print, copy and other controls and manage the resolution for print, press or web use. This is a good tool to have.
